Witchual

Witchual is a video depicting a ritual sacrifice and live burial enacted by genderqueer, trans, and/or femme performers. Witchual explores notions of ancient feminine and earth-based spiritualities in combination with queer fertility: catharsis, sacrifice, healing, regeneration. Performers entangle a human maypole (performed by Rosé Hernandez) as she sings a dysphoric soundscape, eventually being lowered into a wet grave.
