BRIC OPEN: Justice

A Pressing Conference was commissioned by BRIC Arts Media to participate in the third BRIC OPEN Festival. “BRIC OPEN: Justice, interrogates questions of justice and empathy and opens up spaces to find freedom in self-expression and witness others in their full humanity. These actions lay the ground for each of us to see our individual fates tied up with that of our communities, and to confront and correct injustices that deny others their complex wholeness.”  A Pressing Conference held open-mic hours for the public every day, in addition to a Saturday program of speakers and performance curated by Macon Reed. Poet and educator Mahogany L. Browne was also invited to curate and host a special program of poetry and music. All programming was recorded for BRIC’s award-winning public access station, BRIC TV.
